LTU Releases Statement on Jewish Student-Athlete
SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Friday, Jan. 31, 2025. Today, Lawrence Technological University administration released the following statement:
“Last year, a Jewish student reported verbal and physical anti-Semitic abuse committed by another student on campus. The student’s complaint should have been handled better. In that way, we failed him and the LTU community, and caused unnecessary pain to our student. We apologize to our student for the hurt caused him. There is no place for antisemitism on LTU’s campus or in society. We are committed to continuously improving all of our policies and procedures and to collaborating with our campus community to ensure we implement best practices to serve all our students, including Jewish students.”
