LegitScript’s Addiction Treatment Certification Program Now Recognized by Google in Canada

The expansion of LegitScript’s program in Canada aligns with a recent policy change from Google, which now permits Canadian providers to promote their drug and alcohol treatment services

PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LegitScript, the leader in merchant and product certification and monitoring in the advertising, e-commerce, and payment sectors, has expanded its partnership with Google to offer certification to addiction treatment providers operating in Canada. Starting today, eligible in-person and virtual care providers, mutual support groups, and crisis hotlines can apply for LegitScript Certification to demonstrate their commitment to compliance and transparency while also obtaining the ability to advertise their services on Google.

This is the most substantial expansion of LegitScript’s Addiction Treatment Certification program since its inception in 2018. For the first time, Canadian addiction treatment providers will have a trusted pathway to demonstrate compliance and effectively advertise their services on Google, helping them reach individuals in search of recovery.

LegitScript is accepting applications from addiction treatment providers in Canada immediately and Google’s advertising policy update will go into effect in March.
