OneLegacy Hosted Open House Event in Carpinteria Celebrating Office Expansion to Serve Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties

Local Elected Officials, Hospital and Community Partners Were in Attendance

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dozens of elected officials, members of the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce and OneLegacy staff and leadership joined local volunteers, transplant recipients, donor families and hospital and community partners yesterday to celebrate OneLegacy’s new office expansion to Carpinteria. The new facility, located at 4180 Via Real, Unit C, aims to strengthen OneLegacy's presence in the Santa Barbara and Ventura County regions by enabling even more rapid response to serve families, hospitals, and local staff who live and work in these communities.

In a moving ceremony that took place yesterday, OneLegacy leadership and staff welcomed members of the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce, as well as Carpinteria City Mayor, Natalia Alarcón and representatives of the offices of Supervisor Roy Lee, State Assemblymember Gregg Hart and State Senator Monique Limón, who gave special remarks and presented OneLegacy with special certificates to welcome them to Carpinteria. A ribbon cutting ceremony followed the welcome remarks, and event attendees enjoyed a special lunch catered by Best Barbecue, a local restaurant serving Carpinteria and Santa Barbara.

"We are so grateful to be able to connect with local government, hospital and community partners to celebrate this milestone,” said Prasad Garimella, OneLegacy’s Chief Executive Officer. “Our new offices will allow us to support our local hospitals, transplant recipients, and most importantly, our donor families before, during and beyond the donation process."

“The Chamber is delighted that OneLegacy would support the region and have a presence in this incredible area,” said Randy Berg, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce.

OneLegacy has been a national leader in organ donation and transplantation for decades, working tirelessly to care for donor families and transplant recipients. The organization emphasizes the importance of community involvement and awareness in their ongoing efforts to increase donation rates, and the new Carpinteria offices will help expand these efforts.

“We look forward to working closely with OneLegacy to join efforts in inspiring local communities to Donate Life at donation advocacy events in our beautiful city,” said Carpinteria City Mayor, Natalia Alarcón. “On behalf of the City of Carpinteria, I would like to welcome you all to our town.”

OneLegacy anticipates building strong relationships within the Santa Barbara and Ventura communities, to continue fulfilling its public education and community outreach efforts.
