BusyKid Named 2025 National Parenting Product Award Winner

This is the fourth time for the app helping to improve financial literacy for kids and teens

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BusyKid is thrilled to announce that it has been named a National Parenting Product Awards winner for 2025. It’s the fourth time the app has received this honor (2018, 2020 and 2022). For over 30 years, the National Parenting Product Awards (NAPPA) has been ensuring that parents purchase the highest quality products that help them connect and enjoy time with their families.

Consumers looking for high-quality products and services can rest assured when they see the NAPPA Winner’s Seal; it’s evidence of a product's excellence from having been evaluated by unbiased experts. NAPPA’s team of independent expert judges, along with parent and child testers, select the best music, toys, apps, games, books, baby gear and other family must-haves to be award winners through year-round product testing.

“Teaching kids financial literacy and responsibility from an early age is so important,” says Elena Epstein, director of the National Parenting Product Awards. “The BusyKid App gives parents a wonderful tool to introduce concepts like saving, budgeting and donating in a very practical way.“

Chores and allowance are two hotly debated topics among parents. Some feel their kids work hard enough between school and extracurricular activities that doing chores is not necessary. Others expect their kids to help out around the house either for a reward or simply as a member of the family who needs to contribute to the happiness and well-being of the group. BusyKid takes a different approach, framing chores as a tool parents should use to set their kids up for future financial success.

With the majority of high school graduates never learning about financial matters in school, BusyKid provides kids hand-ons experience at earning, saving, donating, investing and spending real money. Through daily use kids also learn responsibility and accountability while making smart money decisions through the easy to use app.

“It is very gratifying to see BusyKid be recognized as one of the top parenting products of 2025,” said BusyKid Co-Founder and CEO Gregg Murset. “We strived to provide a platform that is engaging, easy to use and helps fill the “Grand Canyon” sized financial education gap happening in the U.S.”

BusyKid was one of the first chore/allowance apps where kids and teens could learn to manage real money wisely. It features pre-loaded age-based chores and allowance that is paid every Friday (Payday). After getting paid, children can save some money, donate some, invest some and spend some. This is the balanced financial lifestyle that BusyKid promotes.

BusyKid is only $4 a month (billed annually) for an entire family and is available in the Apple and Google Play stores. For more information about BusyKid, visit http://www.busykid.com.
