Brown Brothers Harriman Bolsters its Corporate Advisory Team in Philadelphia

Alex Rohr is just the latest strategic hire by BBH in the mid-Atlantic region

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH) is pleased to announce the expansion of its Philadelphia office with the addition of Alex Rohr. Rohr joins the growing Corporate Advisory and Banking team as a Managing Director to help the region’s private business owners, wealthy families, and local endowments, foundations, and non-profit institutions through objective, actionable advice to help them accomplish their business and personal goals.

With more than 20 years of experience in the M&A industry, Rohr joins BBH from Merion Investment Partners, a lower middle market private debt and equity investment fund. His responsibilities included new deal analysis, structuring and underwriting of investments, portfolio management, and serving in a board capacity for portfolio companies with a particular focus on health care and business services.

Rohr began his M&A career with the United States Department of Justice examining corporate mergers and acquisitions for anti-competitive effects. Throughout his career, he has built long-term relationships through his M&A profession and volunteering on boards in his community. Rohr earned an MBA from Villanova University and graduated cum laude from the University of San Diego with a B.A. in sociology and political science.
