New U-Haul Center in Zanesville Offers Nearly 1,000 Self-Storage Rooms

Company’s 80th Ohio store opened Dec. 10 near Colony Square Mall

ZANESVILLE, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--U-Haul^® has opened a new retail, moving and self-storage center in Zanesville to better serve the residents in and around Muskingum County.

U-Haul Moving & Storage of Zanesville at 3742 Northpointe Drive began serving customers on Dec. 10. It is the 80th U-Haul-owned and -operated store in Ohio, conveniently located off Frazeysburg Road and next door to the Colony Square Mall. U-Haul acquired the five-acre property in 2022.

Customers have access to a four-story complex with 996 rentable self-storage units, including heated rooms on the first floor and climate-controlled rooms on floors 2-4. All units feature high-end security features.

The new Zanesville center replaces the Company’s old store at 618 S. Pine St.

“Our previous location was small but served the community well for 46 years,” said David Ruff, U-Haul Company of Southeast Ohio president. “We have been wanting to give the city a quality full-service store for some time. We finally have the facility they have been waiting on to meet the community’s moving and self-storage needs.”

The property also includes a warehouse for up to 735 U-Box^® containers. U-Box has been honored as the industry’s best moving container.

In addition to storage products, there are truck and trailer rentals; an expansive retail showroom with boxes and moving supplies; professional hitch instillation and towing accessories; covered load/unload bays to offer storage customers protection from the weather; and green initiatives like the Take A Box, Leave A Box program. In the future, U-Haul plans to provide a propane refill station.
