Care Access opened the Thousand Oaks location in collaboration with local community leaders and healthcare providers seeking to make health resources more accessible to area residents.

Through the Future of Medicine program, Care Access makes no-cost Heart & Kidney Health Screenings available to the public at the Health & Research Center and community events across Southern California. The Heart & Kidney Health Screening includes a test for lipoprotein(a), or Lp(a), a lesser-known type of cholesterol which significantly increases the risk of heart disease and stroke.

“As a cardiologist, I know firsthand the importance of detection in preventing heart disease. Offering no-cost Lp(a) testing is a game-changer for our community's cardiovascular health,” said Dr. Irving Loh, Senior Consultant and Principal Investigator at Care Access.
