JetBlue Names Justin Thompson Vice President, IT Data and Analytics

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--JetBlue (Nasdaq: JBLU) today announced the promotion of Justin Thompson to vice president, IT data and analytics. In this role, Thompson will oversee the airline’s data engineering, data science, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and business intelligence.

Reporting to Carol Clements, JetBlue’s chief digital and technology officer, Thompson will spearhead initiatives to scale JetBlue’s data and AI capabilities in alignment with the airline’s JetForward strategy—a framework designed to guide JetBlue back to sustained profitability.

“Justin is a seasoned technology leader with a proven track record of delivering value through data and data science,” Clements said. “His focus on strengthening and scaling our data science capabilities will be instrumental in advancing our JetForward strategy.”

Thompson has been with JetBlue for 18 years, holding various leadership roles across customer support, marketing, and IT. He joined the company as an analyst focused on customer feedback and most recently served as managing director, IT data and analytics.
