Innovaccer MSSP ACO Customers Generate $1.03 Billion Total Program Savings for 2023

ACOs enhance care quality, improve patient outcomes and experiences, and boost financial performance through data-driven insights.

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Innovaccer Inc. today announced that its ACO customers participating in the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) generated $1.03 billion in total savings for Performance Year 2023, with organizations earning more than $636 million in shared savings payments. The Innovaccer ACO customers achieved $524 in savings per member per year (PMPY), significantly higher than the earned savings rate for non-Innovaccer ACOs per Medicare beneficiary.

Alongside these financial results, Innovaccer customers demonstrated superior quality performance across critical preventive care measures. ACO customers, using Innovaccer's platform, Cured, and PQS solutions, consistently outperformed their peers in key quality metrics including colorectal cancer screening, breast cancer screening, and diabetes management, while maintaining lower hospital readmission rates.

"The consistent outperformance of our ACO customers demonstrates the importance of having the right technology partner who supports them in their VBC journey by providing data and analytics solutions that enable better financial risk management while improving care quality and outcomes," said Abhinav Shashank, cofounder and CEO of Innovaccer. "As CMS pushes toward having 100% of Medicare beneficiaries in accountable care arrangements by 2030, we're committed to supporting ACOs with solutions that drive success at every stage of their value-based care journey.”

To date, Innovaccer has helped its customers across value-based and commercial lines of business generate more than $2.53 billion in cumulative total savings.

To help ACOs better understand their performance in the MSSP program, Innovaccer has further enhanced its ACO Compare tool with a new Opportunity Navigator feature. The tool helps healthcare organizations benchmark their performance against regional and national standards while identifying key drivers impacting ACO expenditures. With the new Opportunity Navigator feature, ACOs can understand the top metrics that impacted their savings in Performance Year 2023 and which metrics to focus on for improving performance in Performance Year 2024.
