PitchBook’s Executive Vice President of Research & Market Intelligence Named 2024 Inspiring Leader

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PitchBook, the premiere data provider for the private and public equity markets, today announced Executive Vice President of Research & Market Intelligence Nizar Tarhuni was named a 2024 Inspiring leader by the Inspiring Workplaces award program in the Senior Leadership category. The award recognizes individuals who go above and beyond to positively impact their organization and the people within it.

Tarhuni began his tenure at PitchBook in 2014 as a financial writer and today leads PitchBook’s Market Intelligence department, which is comprised of the PitchBook Institutional Research Group, PitchBook News team, and Publishing department. His team of more than 130 global research analysts and journalists publish trusted, data-driven insights spanning the capital markets from PE, VC, and credit, to market trends across established industries and emerging technologies. Their research leverages PitchBook’s proprietary datasets, predictive analytics and workflow tools, empowering clients to contextualize market trends with analyst expertise and navigate investment opportunities from a trusted source.

“One of Nizar’s greatest strengths is his ability to empower team members to take ownership of projects and develop innovative solutions for customers,” said Rod Diefendorf, President and COO of PitchBook. “He approaches challenges thoughtfully and celebrates successes as shared accomplishments while fostering a culture of continuous learning both within and beyond PitchBook. It’s rare to find a leader as approachable as he is driven, and Nizar exemplifies this balance.”

Tarhuni played a central role in PitchBook’s acquisition of Leveraged Commentary & Data (LCD) to integrate its research into PitchBook’s platform to cover the full breadth of alternative assets, credit and public equity markets. The integration of LCD supported an overall expansion to grow his team to cover every corner of the capital markets – spanning investment strategy, fund performance, credit and emerging technologies. In addition to overseeing institutional, news and quantitative research, Tarhuni also contributes to planning product and data operations roadmaps and leads market assessments to inform PitchBook’s growth strategies.
