New Relic Announces Charlie Thompson as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of EMEA

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--New Relic, the Intelligent Observability Platform, announced the appointment of Charlie Thompson as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of EMEA to drive growth and market expansion across the region. In this role, Thompson will oversee sales initiatives and help enterprises use New Relic to drive innovation, improve reliability, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Sales veteran to strengthen and accelerate growth in EMEA

Thompson brings nearly two decades of experience leading global sales teams at high velocity technology companies. Most recently, he led international sales as Appian’s Senior Vice President of EMEA and LATAM, where he spearheaded significant growth, building enterprise and partner business with key wins at major customers. Prior to Appian, Thompson held sales and leadership positions at Pegasystems, Detica, and Fujitsu.

Known for building high-performing teams and fostering collaboration to achieve customer success, Thompson has a proven track record of driving impactful outcomes and building strategic partner ecosystems. His career began with 16 years of distinguished service in the British Army, where he retired as a Major after completing multiple tours of duty throughout the world.
