MidFirst Bank Donates $100,000 to Support YMCA’s Camp Classen

Funds Will Be Used to Build a New Health Center and Improve Onsite Facilities

DAVIS, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MidFirst Bank today announced it is donating $100,000 to the Oklahoma City YMCA’s Camp Classen to support the camp’s recently launched capital campaign.

Founded in 1941 in order to empower children in the community and help them gain a sense of pride in their achievements, the camp is in need of modernizing upgrades and expansion of its existing facilities. These funds will be used to build a new health center and improve YMCA Camp Classen’s dining hall, waterfront, trails, cabins, security and more to comfortably house and care for as many as 350 campers each week during the summer. Through this donation, YMCA Camp Classen will be better able to welcome more campers, school groups and retreats.

"MidFirst Bank has a long-standing relationship with the YMCA Camp Classen and, in fact, many of our employees have sent their children to the camp for years," said DJ Morgan, Chief Commercial Banking Officer of MidFirst Bank. "We are proud of our partnership with such a great institution that provides invaluable growth, adventure and learning to so many in our community. We hope this donation will enable Camp Classen to continue to advance its mission of transforming the communities and lives of campers and their families.”

“We are deeply grateful to MidFirst Bank for their incredible contribution to YMCA Camp Classen,” said Kelly Kay, president and CEO of YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City. “This generous gift will directly support essential improvements, ensuring future generations of campers have even more opportunities to develop skills that strengthen spirit, mind and body. MidFirst’s commitment to bolstering our mission is truly invaluable, and we look forward to seeing their gift make an impact in the years to come.”
