OKLAHOMA CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Jerico Pictures, Inc. d/b/a National Public Data with respect to their recent data breach. National Public Data, a company that specializes in background checks and fraud prevention, experienced a massive data breach in April of 2024. The data stolen was the personal information of approximately 2.9 billion individuals dating back 30 years ago. The group that claimed responsibility for the attack, cybercriminal group USDoD, then tried to sell the information to the dark web for approximately 3.5 million dollars.
