William Burns Appointed to Oshkosh Corporation Board of Directors

OSHKOSH, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oshkosh Corporation (NYSE: OSK), a leading innovator of purpose-built vehicles and equipment, announced today that William (Bill) Burns, chief executive officer of Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Oshkosh effective July 23, 2024. With the appointment of Burns, Oshkosh Corporation has 11 board members.

Burns, 57, has more than 30 years of experience in the technology sector. He joined Zebra Technologies, a global provider of enterprise asset intelligence solutions that connect people, assets and data through digitization and automation, in 2015. Prior to being named chief executive officer in 2023, he served as chief product and solutions officer and, before that, senior vice president of enterprise visibility and mobility, the company’s largest business unit. Burns was also chief executive officer of Embrane, Inc., a Silicon Valley-based, venture capital-backed privately held startup, and Spirent Communications plc (LSE: SPT), a global leader in hardware, software and cloud-based test and measurement solutions.
