Comporium Connects a Second Wave of Ridge Spring Locations to Gigabit Broadband Network

174 More Addresses in Ridge Spring Connected through Comporium’s $292K Investment

GILBERT, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Comporium has extended its network to serve 174 addresses along the northern side of the Ridge Spring community with fiber-based Gigabit services. The company announced a similar expansion last month and has spent the past few weeks further extending its fiber optic network into Ridge Spring. This project provides customers the ability to access internet speeds of up to one Gigabit per second.

These recently connected addresses represent the second phase of a multi-phase project. This step of the project required nearly $292,000 of investment and will improve the quality of life for homes and businesses in the area. Comporium recently invested nearly $155,000 to expand its fiber optic network on the southern side of Ridge Spring.

“We continue to deploy fiber optics with the speed and capacity to handle whatever broadband needs our customers have today and in the future,” stated Comporium’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Matthew Dosch. “By expanding our network, we’re accelerating progress in our communities, giving more people access to faster connections for work, school, healthcare and leisure.”

Comporium has indicated that it’s not finished with its expansion projects in the Ridge Spring area. The company is finalizing plans now to build fiber to even more addresses in the area and plans to begin construction in the coming weeks.

Residents and businesses in the Ridge Springs Area may place an order and schedule installation appointments through Comporium’s website at www.comporium.com.
