BerryDunn Principal David A. Erb Receives MECPA Giver Award

PORTLAND, Maine--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BerryDunn, a full-service assurance, tax, and consulting firm, is pleased to announce Principal David A. Erb, CPA, as the Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants (MECPA) 2024 Giver Award recipient. The award recognizes individuals who have given back to the accounting profession through volunteerism and community service.

As the Principal and Leader of BerryDunn’s Tax Consulting and Compliance Practice Group, Erb has a 30-year history with the firm, strategically leading 80 team members, maximizing professional development, and focusing on client service in every interaction. “I am humbled by this award,” says Erb. “My volunteer service, paired with maximizing professional development opportunities and stewarding a focus on client service among my team, has been an incredibly rewarding part of my career. Erb has served as Treasurer and President of the Boy Scouts of America Pine Tree Board and as a member of the Cuckolds Fog Signal and Light Station Council during its restoration as a US National Historic Lighthouse. He has also served as Chair of BerryDunn’s Board of Directors and a member of several selection committees within the firm. Other professional service duties include his delegation to the STAR group, an affiliation of CPA firms that monitors issues and trends, and as representative at the American Institute of CPA’s (AICPA’s) Major Firm Group meetings on behalf of BerryDunn.
