GoFundMe Launches DAFpay as a Payment Method in Partnership with Chariot

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GoFundMe, the trusted leader in online fundraising, today announced the addition of DAFpay as a payment method, enabling direct, easy, and secure payments to qualified GoFundMe fundraisers directly from donor-advised funds (DAFs). As a result of the partnership between GoFundMe and Chariot, donors now have the option to support over 1 million U.S. charities on GoFundMe and make a direct impact with their DAF dollars.

"By unlocking donor-advised funds, which traditionally have been less accessible for immediate and direct charitable giving, we are innovating to give people another easy way to support causes they care about," said Tim Cadogan, CEO of GoFundMe. "Through DAFpay, donors gain the flexibility to make a meaningful impact quickly and securely, within the trusted GoFundMe fundraising experience they know and love.”

“DAFs are the fastest growing vehicle in philanthropy and a tremendous opportunity in the field of online fundraising,” said Salo Serfati, CEO of Chariot. “Bringing easy DAF giving to GoFundMe will significantly increase DAF usage, which benefits donors, nonprofits and DAFs themselves.”
