GE Appliances Releases Annual Report

Outlines business and corporate citizenship highlights with focus on future growth

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GE Appliances, a Haier company, unveiled its digital 2023 GE Appliances Report showcasing the company’s new packaging guidelines, innovative products, environmental and community efforts, and its employees who are consistently making America’s best appliances and helping the company achieve national rankings as one of the best places to work in the United States (U.S.). It also highlights the company’s plan to evolve from a traditional appliance business to become American’s number one home ecosystem company.

Corporate Citizenship Highlights

  • GE Appliances unveiled new packaging guidelines that set the industry standard. By 2030 the company commits to eliminating Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) from all packaging, 100% of packaging must include recycled content, 100 percent recyclable packaging, only use environmentally sustainable ink, and eliminate printed literature unless required for product safety / regulatory.
  • Already achieved or on track to achieve four of its five GE Appliances Way Forward Goals and making significant progress on its fifth.
  • Empowered its employees around the globe in a “Blue Wave” to take over the communities where they live and work through volunteerism creating good things, for life. Projects took place in more than 20 states and four countries.

Business Highlights

  • The Ultra Fast Combo totally disrupted the laundry space when it gave consumers the ability to wash and dry cloths in 2 hours, using a 120V plug, no vent, and 50 percent less energy than a traditional dryer.
  • GE Appliances unveiled a new net zero home energy solution that solves pain points for consumers by helping to reduce their energy usage and carbon footprint. The EcoBalance System connects everything from energy generation, storage and usage while putting the control in consumers’ hands to monitor and adapt energy usage without sacrificing style or performance.
  • The company celebrated 50 years of cooking leadership in the state of Georgia and a 118-million dollar investment that’s adding new products and jobs enabling the plant to build new models of freestanding ranges, which started rolling off the assembly line in January of 2024.
