Dean Omar Branham Shirley Named 2024 Elite Trial Lawyer Finalist

Dallas-based firm in running for honor from The National Law Journal

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dean Omar Branham Shirley, LLP, a plaintiffs firm known for securing significant verdicts in mesothelioma cases, is a finalist for The National Law Journal’s 2024 Elite Trial Lawyers award for products liability.

Candidates for the award must dedicate at least 50 percent of their litigation resources to representing plaintiffs. Winners in several categories will be announced on July 11 in New York City.

“This is a tribute to the hard work of every person in our firm. The entire staff and attorneys here all work so hard for our clients. I am grateful to each of them,” says name partner Trey Branham. “We know that no dollar amount can replace someone’s life. We push relentlessly against corporations that disregard humanity. We appreciate it when the legal community recognizes us for that.”

The firm is widely known for its success in cases against pharmaceutical companies and corporations for asbestos-related safety violations. Recently, the firm secured a victory before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, which upheld a jury’s verdict against Pabst Brewing Co. in the death of a worker exposed to asbestos at its factory.

The firm also prevailed recently in Cook County Circuit Court in Chicago, where a jury found the defendant liable for the asbestos-related death of a woman who was both a mother and grandmother and returned a verdict of $45 million.

Law.com and The National Law Journal’s editors and reporters select the Elite Trial Lawyers honorees out of hundreds of entries. The awards acknowledge law firms' exceptional plaintiffs work in high-stakes bench trials, jury trials or major settlements and honors those that have demonstrated an impressive track record of wins over the last three to five years.
