Village Caregiving Opens Three New Locations to Bring Quality, Affordable Home Care to More Seniors Across Indiana

New Evansville, Batesville and South Bend locations expand home care agency’s caregiving services to six cities across Hoosier State

BARBOURSVILLE, W. Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Village Caregiving, the fastest-growing privately-owned home care agency in the U.S., today announced that it opened three new licensed personal services agency offices in Indiana, located in Batesville, Evansville and South Bend. The openings join existing Village Caregiving offices in Bloomington, Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, bringing the total number of offices in the state to six. Already, the company’s 400 caregivers across the state serve more than 600 seniors and their families with quality, non-medical home care support so they can age in place safely and live independently as long as possible.

“Indiana has been home to Village Caregiving since 2021, and we’re growing our presence to meet two key needs: care in home for the state’s growing number of seniors and fulfilling jobs for caregivers,” said Jeff Stevens, co-founder and CEO, Village Caregiving. “We’re proud to serve as a reliable source of support and comfort for Hoosier families.”

Earlier this year, Village Caregiving also opened three other locations outside of Indiana: Duluth, Minn.; Zanesville, Ohio; and Paducah, Ky.

According to a 2020 U.S. Census Bureau report, one in six Americans are age 65 or older, and the growth rate in the older population increased 38.6 percent from 40.3 million to 55.8 million from 2010 to 2020, the fastest increase of any decade since 1880 to 1890. Indiana is following a similar trajectory as the state’s65-and-older population is projected to increase by 1.4 million people, from 16.5 percent of the state’s total population to 20.1 percent, according to the Indiana Business Research Center.

“Village Caregiving is excited to work with all home care programs and payors in Indiana, including private pay and family funded arrangements, veteran programs, state Medicaid waiver programs, and others. We are here to help everyone,” said Olivia Patterson, Executive Director of Village Caregiving’s Indianapolis office.

In the last decade, Village Caregiving has grown from a single location with one employee in Barboursville to over 60 locations in the Midwest and eastern United States. Today, it has more than 3,000 employees serving more than 5,000 clients, primarily elderly Americans who need companionship and support in their day-to-day lives, such as light housework and transportation.
