With nearly 150,000 students from 5,000 schools around the United States, MATHCOUNTS challenges students to learn, discover and solve mathematical challenges through live competitions at the school, chapter, state and national levels.

On May 12 and 13, the top four students from each state across the United States will gather in Washington, D.C., to compete in the highest level of math competition. Mathletes compete as state teams of four and as individuals to be named National Champions. The event combines friendly competition and fun.
