Federman & Sherwood Investigates ESO Solutions, Inc. for Data Breach

OKLAHOMA CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into ESO Solutions, Inc. with respect to their recent data breach. In February 2024, ESO Solutions, Inc., a software solutions provider for hospitals, health systems, EMS agencies, and fire departments, confirmed that it fell victim to a ransomware attack in September 2023 that resulted in file encryption, which affected 2.7 million individuals. In response to the breach, ESO claims they immediately worked to secure its networks by taking their systems offline. The company implemented measures to confirm the security of its systems and engaged with a third-party forensic firm to assist in investigating the extent of the unauthorized activity. On October 23, 2023, ESO Solutions, Inc. was able to confirm that an unauthorized party accessed portions of its computer system, including files containing confidential patient information. According to the report the breach information varies depending on the individual and may include the following: individuals’ name, Social Security number, treatment date, treatment type, injury date and injury type.
