Six Canadian tech companies chosen to pitch supply chain solutions

Communitech Fast Track Cities connects municipalities with Canadian tech companies

KITCHENER, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Communitech Fast Track Cities has identified six Canadian tech companies with innovative solutions to supply chain challenges impacting our cities. Selected companies will pitch their solutions at the Fast Track Cities Showcase event on May 8, 2024.

Fast Track Cities is a four-month collaborative program that brings together public, private, academia and tech partners with Canada’s top tech founders to solve problems in the movement of people and goods with trusted innovation.

The Fast Track Cities collaborative issued a nationwide call in March for digital solutions focused on:

  • Last mile delivery in urban centres
  • Addressing a driver labour shortage and skills gap
  • Enhancing supply chain visibility

After careful deliberation with partners and supply chain professionals, the collaborative selected six companies to pitch their tech-enabled solutions to a live audience of potential customers, investors and collaborators.

Presenting companies will have the opportunity to showcase their solutions to municipalities, industry leaders and investors. They will also compete for cash prizes, with top pitches standing to win a $25 thousand, $15 thousand or $10 thousand reward for first, second and third place, respectively.

“Innovative thinking is critical in the face of supply chain challenges and complexities,” said Kevin Tuer, Chief Technology Officer at Communitech. “We’re all about using the right technology to make things better, whether it’s tracking shipments, tackling worker shortages or smoothing out city logistics. We’re connecting Canadian tech startups with municipal frameworks, convening diverse stakeholders and catalyzing sustainable urban solutions to create a path for impactful change.”

The selected companies include:

These companies will receive coaching from Communitech’s experienced growth coaches and professionals in urban-transportation industries across the country and get introduced to potential customers.

Register to attend the Fast Track Cities Showcase event on May 8, 2024.
