Stephen Ponzio Joins BTIG as Head of Execution Strategy

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BTIG announced today that Stephen Ponzio has joined the firm as Head of Execution Strategy. Mr. Ponzio will co-head the electronic trading division and be responsible for the development of BTIG’s new generation of algorithms. As Head of Execution Strategy, he will also be integral in new initiatives for the firm’s program trading and ETF market-making. He will be based in the firm’s New York office.

Mr. Ponzio brings to the firm twenty years of experience in equity trading, on both the sell-side and the buy-side. Prior to joining BTIG, he ran electronic trading at Millennium, where he designed the platform to be more systematic, automated, and data-driven. Previously, Mr. Ponzio was a Director at Citi, where he built Citi’s US trading algorithms and systematized risk pricing on Citi’s Cash Trading Desk.
