Olympic Steel Promotes Anthony G. Dominic to Vice President of Safety, Health and Environment

Company furthers commitment to employee safety and workplace culture

CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Olympic Steel Inc. (Nasdaq: ZEUS), a leading national metals service center, today announced the promotion of Anthony G. Dominic to Vice President – Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E).

Mr. Dominic joined the Company in 2018 as Director – Safety, Health and Environment to lead the organization’s SH&E efforts. In total, he has more than 33 years of SH&E expertise from his time at Olympic Steel as well as experience at Whirlpool Corporation, General Electric and Culligan International.

In his new role, Mr. Dominic will continue to lead the safety programs and teams across all Olympic Steel locations. He reports directly to Richard T. Marabito, Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Dominic earned his associate and bachelor’s degrees in biology from McHenry County College and the University of Illinois, respectively. He earned his Director of Safety certification from the North American Transportation Management Institute at the University of Florida and maintains his Occupational Safety Specialist Certification from the Alliance Safety Council. He has also completed an extensive list of technical courses including, but not limited to OSHA, NFPA, USDOT, USEPA, stamping, robotics, welding, high-speed assembly, and ISO certifications.

Mr. Dominic is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and serves on the Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI) Safety Council. He has facilitated safety education and training for the MSCI, as well.
