KBRA Mourns the Passing of Scott Durant

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--KBRA is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our colleague, Scott Durant, who died on January 8. Scott was a key member of our Financial Institutions ratings team and an important contributor to the group’s success since his arrival at KBRA in 2016. Located in our Maryland office, Scott, a Senior Director, was the ultimate team player, always willing to assist other analysts and share his tremendous insights. Scott brought sharp analytical insight and a rigorous approach to every financial institution that he rated; he was a dedicated professional and always generous with his knowledge.

Given his analytical prowess and intellectual curiosity, Scott led coverage of technology-focused institutions. He helped drive diversification across nonbank financial institutions by initiating coverage of securities firms and consumer finance companies, among others. Outside of work, Scott was devoted to his family and many friends. His warm and engaging personality will be treasured by all who knew him.

A celebration of life will take place at Middletown Volunteer Fire Company Community Activity Center (1 Fireman’s Lane, Middletown, Maryland) on January 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
