BTIG Promotes Michael Passaro to Head of Equity Capital Markets

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BTIG announced that Michael Passaro has been promoted to Head of Equity Capital Markets. In his new role, Mr. Passaro will lead the ECM team as they work alongside the firm’s industry bankers, offering strategic insights for clients on equity-based solutions for their capital-raising needs.

Since joining BTIG in 2020, Mr. Passaro has been instrumental in the expansion and success of the equity capital markets group. Prior to BTIG, he spent time at Deutsche Bank and Raymond James covering venture capital and private equity funds with a focus on equities transactions.

“We are excited to promote Michael to Head of Equity Capital Markets,” said Anton LeRoy, Chief Executive Officer of BTIG. “We are confident that Michael can drive growth and expansion of our equity capital markets division, providing clients with innovative transactional solutions that leverage our vast distribution network.”

Mr. Passaro’s promotion is part of BTIG’s larger and ongoing initiative to expand the firm’s capabilities in Equity Capital Markets and related Investment Banking engagements. As part of that expansion, the firm recently hired Anthony Faria as a Director of Equity Capital Markets where he will help expand the firm’s capital markets origination effort and play a key role in the execution of Equity Capital Markets transactions. He previously served as a Director in ECM Origination at RBC. Prior to that, Mr. Faria held ECM positions at UBS and Wells Fargo.
