UKG Expands Strategic Microsoft Partnership

Tailoring employee experiences now even easier with UKG no-code/low-code connectors and templates on Microsoft Power Platform

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--UKG Aspire — UKG, a leading provider of HR, payroll, and workforce management solutions for all people, today announced an expansion to its longstanding strategic collaboration with Microsoft that will utilize the UKG FleX and Microsoft Power platforms to make it even easier for mutual customers to create unique employee experiences specific to their business.

With the introduction of no-code/low-code premium connectors and templates, mutual UKG Pro suite and Microsoft Power Platform customers can now deliver new custom apps, solution extensions, and workflows as simple, configurable experiences, without IT support. The combination will enable business users and HR administrators, even if they do not know how to code, to independently address today’s evolving employee needs while also better preparing to meet tomorrow’s dynamic workplace.

For example, a simple application can quickly be created for frontline managers to adapt to changing company-specific needs around scheduling shifts. More advanced applications can also be created by users of all technical abilities, such as an application to collect feedback on a new policy that can be analyzed and contextualized by using UKG Pro data, such as employee location, position, or tenure.

“Great technology experiences are a cornerstone of every great place to work,” said Hugo Sarrazin, chief product and technology officer at UKG. “Since every workplace is different, with a diverse set of tools, data sources, processes, and workflows, advancing our no-code/low-code development offerings will help our customers meet the unique needs of their people and business. This allows everyone to spend less time interacting with interfaces and more time focused on their purpose at work. Who better to partner with than Microsoft and the Microsoft Power Platform?”

Microsoft Power Platform provides a set of low-code tools for building apps, custom workflows, and data analytics solutions. UKG FleX is the technology platform for the UKG Pro suite, which provides artificial intelligence and a highly adaptable API framework that allows organizations to continually benefit from new and emerging innovations. FleX, coupled with UKG Developer Hub, provides tools for UKG customers and third-party developers to create more seamless experiences for people, regardless of technical skill.

UKG and Microsoft have collaborated together since 2018, when the two organizations first partnered to explore opportunities to help employees and managers with a workforce management interactive solution. Since then, the two technology leaders have enabled employees and managers to complete important HR, payroll, scheduling, and timekeeping actions through Teams and Shifts, as well as receive updates and notifications in the Microsoft employee experience platform Viva. Additional collaborations include the integration of Azure Active Director (Azure AD) for security and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for business insights.
