ECM Launches New Website and Rebrands to ECM PCB Stator Tech to Advance Its Electric Motor Design Software and Innovation.

The changes elevate ECM’s mission to disrupt the electric motor industry via SaaS.

NEEDHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--US electric motor design and software company ECM has completed a rebrand in advance of its 2024 PrintStator CAD public release.

The Boston-based startup shortened its full name to ECM PCB Stator Tech and updated its company and PrintStator product logos. ECM also launched a fully redesigned website. The site reflects the company’s fresh new look and offers greater insight on the benefits and applicability of ECM’s technology and Motor CAD platform.

From the enhanced website, users can delve deeper into ECM’s patented printed circuit board (PCB Stator) electric motor innovation for verticals such as HVAC, robotics, aerospace, and haptics and precision motion. ECM’s revamped site also allows the public to explore using PrintStator to design their own customized and optimized motors.

“This rebrand gives ECM a powerful new look and more accessible website in advance of our PrintStator public launch in 2024. The fresh design and updated site are more reflective of ECM’s mission to positively disrupt electric motor design into the 21st century via SaaS,” said ECM President and CEO Brian Casey.

As a company, ECM pairs PrintStator Motor CAD to patented PCB Stator innovation to create premium performance, next generation electric machines.

PCB Stators replace the bulky copper windings in traditional motors with an ultra-thin disc. PCB Stator motors designed via PrintStator are up to 70% lighter than conventional options, while achieving efficiencies in the mid-90s, and requiring just 20% of the raw materials.

As a software tool, PrintStator powers the custom design, manufacture, and integration of PCB Stator electric motors to precise performance and form factor requirements.

To scale these benefits broadly, PrintStator’s SaaS features allow any innovator—from startup entrepreneur to big-company engineer—to become an electric motor designer and producer.

After an exclusive release in 2023, ECM will offer PrintStator to the public in Q1 2024. PrintStator was recently recognized with four 2023 SaaS Awards and won the 2023 Industrial Design, Engineering & Automation (IDEA) Awards for Design and Operations Software.
