Volunteering to Help Local Veterans

Corvias’ Ongoing Commitment to Operation Stand Down Rhode Island

WARWICK, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Corvias team members demonstrated their ongoing commitment to the community by answering a call from Operation Stand Down Rhode Island (OSDRI) for a recent volunteer project. OSDRI, a long-time philanthropic partner of Corvias, recently requested help in preparing for its annual veterans’ assistance event.

In preparation for the event, OSDRI was seeking help to restock its pantry, do some light landscaping and general cleanup. Three days later, several Corvias team members reported to OSDRI headquarters ready to work. This effort was one of many ways that Corvias team members continually embrace the company’s three core principles to deliver the best customer service, be the best place to work and to generously give back to the communities where it operates.

Corvias Chief Executive Officer, Chris Wilson, expressed pride in the team’s dedication to community, stating, “Our core principles guide us in all that we do. It’s wonderful to see our team members embody these principles and selflessly respond to an urgent need. We are honored to support Operation Stand Down Rhode Island in their mission to strengthen the veteran community.”

In May 2023, Corvias celebrated its fifth year supporting OSDRI by volunteering for its annual Boots on the Ground memorial that honors fallen heroes. Corvias also gives back by supporting the educational goals of military families; its local communities; conservation of the earth's natural resources; local entrepreneurs, with a focus on minority, veteran and women-owned business enterprises; and making Corvias the best place to work for its employees. In 2022, Corvias employees donated more than $40,000 to non-profit organizations. With its 2:1 employee donation match, approximately $120,000 was donated in all.
