Tech Tackles Cancer Boston Announces Line-Up and Ticket Sales

Annual Charity Concert Already Raises More Than $100K With Seven Weeks Remaining Until Nov. 7 Event

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hack/Reduce, a Boston-based non-profit organization focused on creating talent and technology for the global big data-driven economy, today announced that tickets are now on sale for the Tech Tackles Cancer (TTC) Boston charity event being held on November 7, 2023, at the Sinclair in Cambridge from 6-10 pm ET.

The fundraiser's goal this year is to raise over $250,000 for pediatric cancer research and patient care. Since 2012, TTC has harnessed the power of the Boston technology community to raise awareness and funds to support pediatric cancer causes. Past events have raised more than $2M in donations for organizations focused on pediatric cancer treatment and research, including St. Baldrick’s and One Mission.

This year’s event will feature 10+ technology executives performing a single song backed by Boston-based Tony Savarino and the Savtones. Awards will be given for best vocals, best stage presence and most funds raised, and the live audience will be able to vote on-site for their favorite performances.

The lineup of featured performers (to date) for TTC Boston 2023 include:

“We had a tremendous turnout last year by the Boston technology community, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the fight against pediatric cancer. But this year’s TTC London has raised the bar considerably,” said Chris Lynch, founder of TTC and CEO of AtScale. “I’m looking forward to this year’s event and challenge our singers, sponsors and attendees to do what they can to top last year’s performances and results.”

Corporate sponsors for TTC Boston 2023 include:

Last year’s TTC Boston raised more than $350,000 for St. Baldricks and One Mission. The 2022 performances can be viewed on the TTC YouTube Channel. At this year’s inaugural TTC London, which took place on May 24, 2023 at the Omeara nightclub, more than 250 attendees, 16 sponsors and 10 singers raised over £100,000 for Children with Cancer UK, one of the UK’s leading childhood cancer charities. Awards were given for “best vocals” to Katie Hester, Head of Brand and Content, Astrato by Vizlib; “best stage presence” to Michal Peleg, Head of People, Tyk; and “most money raised” to Yali Sassoon, Co-Founder and CSO, Snowplow.
