Grundfos to Debut New Water Quality Technology at WEFTEC 2023; New Head of Solutions, CMO to Speak

Grundfos to Present New Extended Wastewater Pumps, Intelligent Pressure Management System, Cloud-Based System Monitoring and Control Technology; CMO Ralph Exton to Participate in WEFTEC Lightning Debate

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Grundfos, a global leader in water technology and services, today announced that the company will introduce new extended wastewater pumps, intelligent pressure management solution, cloud-based system monitoring and control technology and host the Seal Demo Challenge event in booth #1021 at WEFTEC 2023 in Chicago, Oct. 2 - 4, 2023.

Ralph Exton, Grundfos’ new Head of Solutions and Chief Marketing Officer, will participate in a Lightning Debate titled “Powering Water's Future Innovation Ecosystem: Technological Genius vs. Enabling Conditions” on Monday, Oct. 2, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the Innovation Showcase & Theater, located in booth #7739. The company will also demonstrate its Grundfos Connect system monitoring solution at a WEFTEC Launchpad event on Oct. 2 from 3:55 - 4:40 p.m.

“WEFTEC, the industry's premier water quality event, is our annual stage to showcase transformative solutions in groundwater and wastewater treatment,” said Rob Montenegro, Grundfos Water Utility Area Sales Director in the USA and Canada. “At Grundfos, every innovation we introduce aims to streamline operations for utility workers. The SL Pump’s Power Cable is a prime example, facilitating easy maintenance and repairs for submersible pumps. With offerings like our Demand Driven Distribution and Grundfos Connect, we reinforce existing infrastructures to ensure they operate seamlessly. We're excited for the opportunity to collaborate and learn with the groundwater and wastewater community this October.”

At WEFTEC, Grundfos will be exhibiting the following solutions:

  • NEW! Extended Range for Grundfos SE/SL Wastewater Pumps - The more extensive pump range operates reliably and efficiently in even the most challenging wastewater conditions, significantly reducing OPEX. Featuring the innovative Open S-tube® impeller hydraulics, the pump is ideal for pumping wastewater with medium to extreme concentrations of fibers and suspended solids. Its compact design makes it easy to replace most wastewater pumps with minimal system adjustments.
  • NEW! Demand Driven Distribution (DDD) - Reduce leakage, save energy and stabilize pressure at critical points with this intelligent pressure management solution for water distribution networks. DDD is available as an upgrade to new and existing Grundfos booster system customers.
  • UPDATED! Grundfos Connect - Securely and reliably monitor and control pumping systems from anywhere. Grundfos Connect provides complete asset visibility, alerting users when it detects issues and allows users to manage issues remotely. The subscription-based model is an efficient and cost-effective alternative to more costly SCADA systems.

Grundfos Connect Product Manager Steve Frangione will conduct live demos of Grundfos Connect at the Grundfos booth #1021 and at the WEFTEC Launchpad event on Oct. 2, 2023. Also, throughout the conference, pump managers can test their knowledge and witness the outstanding sealing capabilities of Grundfos pumps at the Seal Pump Challenge.
