Arizona Sexual Violence & Disability Network Conference to be Held in Phoenix

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The first annual conference of the Arizona Sexual Violence & Disability Network will be held today at the Ability 360 Conference Center in Phoenix, AZ. Entitled “Together We Are Stronger”, a keynote speaker will include the Trauma-Informed Care Access Panel Co-Chair, James Meadours, of Strategic Education Solutions, a national spokesman for the intellectually developmentally disabled (“I/DD”) and a survivor himself, according to the panel Co-Chair, Josette Sullins, Dehp Integrative Care CEO and Founder. “James will talk about the importance of believing what you are seeing, hearing and feeling with your eyes, ears, and heart,” said Sullins. The panel will focus on prevention, treatment, and healing. The sold-out conference will be attended by professionals from around Arizona.

Positive Client Impact

The mission of the Arizona Sexual Violence & Disability Network is to identify and respond to critical needs of individuals with I/DD and other disabilities who face the greatest risk of sexual violence in Arizona. The vision is that Arizonians live by a collective belief that everyone has value and deserves to live a life free from sexual violence. People with I/DD, especially those who represent diverse backgrounds that are most represented in Arizona, are meaningfully included in the movement to end sexual violence in Arizona.

About The Arc of Arizona:
