After 20 Years of Float Participation, The OneLegacy Donate Life Rose Parade® Float Changes its Name and Focus

With a More Localized Focus on Stories of Donation, the Float will Feature Dozens of Organ, Eye and Tissue Donors, Recipients and Living Donors on New Year’s Day

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--OneLegacy announced today that the Donate Life Rose Parade® float will now be known as the OneLegacy Donate Life Rose Parade® float, with the goal of deepening the connection with community and medical partners in our community and sharing more stories of organ, eye and tissue donation from Southern California, while still including honorees from around the country. The OneLegacy Donate Life float will be a part of the traditional Rose Parade® on New Year’s Day in Pasadena, California.

"OneLegacy has produced the Donate Life float for more than 20 years, and we are excited to celebrate our 21st year with a more localized approach,” said Tom Mone, Chairman of the OneLegacy Donate Life float’s committee and Chief External Affairs Officer of OneLegacy, the nonprofit organ, eye and tissue recovery organization serving the greater Los Angeles area. "We are also partnering with organizations in California and across the nation in an effort to share the importance of saying ‘YES’ to organ, eye and tissue donation with millions of people watching the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day.”

The OneLegacy Donate Life Rose Parade float is produced by OneLegacy and is made possible thanks to dozens of sponsoring donation, transplant, healthcare, and family care organizations and individuals who help make donation and transplantation possible across the country.

As the world’s most visible campaign to inspire organ, eye and tissue donation, the OneLegacy Donate Life Rose Parade® float inspires viewers to help the over one million people in need of organ, eye or tissue transplants each year.
