Lee and Friedrichs have both dedicated many hours to volunteering within their communities and making a positive impact in advocating for those around them. Each of them comes from a unique background and has engaging stories to tell about what advocacy means to them. In addition, both are looking to pursue their goals in continuing to drive awareness and communication for those without a voice – something that is near and dear to each of them because of their unique backgrounds. In each of their essays, there was a common theme with the importance of taking small steps in order to make BIG waves of impact throughout their communities.
