Pacific Life Named by Points of Light as One of America’s 50 Most Community-Minded Companies for Second Year

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pacific Life has been named a national 2023 Civic 50 honoree by Points of Light, acknowledging it as one of the 50 most community-minded companies in the United States. The Civic 50 sets the standard for corporate civic engagement and creates a roadmap for companies seeking to best use their time, talent, and resources to improve the quality of life in the communities where they do business.

This is the second consecutive year Pacific Life has been recognized by Points of Light following its inaugural acknowledgement in 2022. Points of Light honors companies with an annual U.S. revenue of at least $1 billion and organizations are selected based on four dimensions of their corporate citizenship and social impact programs, including investment of resources, integration across business functions, institutionalization through policies and systems and impact measurement.

“We strive to make a meaningful impact on the communities where we live and work,” said Darryl Button, president and CEO of Pacific Life. “Through investments, volunteerism, and philanthropy, we focus on creating lasting, positive impact for our people, our communities, our customers, and our environment.”

“Companies play a critical role in creating thriving, participatory communities,” said Diane Quest, interim president and CEO, Points of Light. “Companies like Pacific Life set a model for others, showing how to best use employee talent, business assets and integration to create meaningful impact, and we’re thrilled to uplift and celebrate their work as an honoree of The Civic 50 2023.”
