81st Annual Luncheon to Be Hosted on June 15th at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel

Co-Host of “CBS Mornings” and Analyst for “The NFL Today” Show on CBS Sports, Nate Burleson to Serve as Master of Ceremonies

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The National Father’s Day Council announced today that it will honor four remarkable fathers from the retail, entertainment and sports industries at the 81st Annual Father of the Year Awards. The Awards luncheon, which will be held on Thursday, June 15th at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel, will benefit Save the Children’s U.S. Programs and Advocacy, which work to break the cycle of poverty for rural American children most vulnerable to educational and food inequities by providing early learning and wraparound supports that help them thrive as learners and in life.

This year’s Father of the Year Awards will be hosted by Co-Host of “CBS Mornings” and Analyst for CBS Sports’ “The NFL Today” show, Nate Burleson. The awards will be given in recognition of fathers who successfully balance highly influential careers while remaining dedicated to their families, communities and philanthropic endeavors, will be presented to:

  • Jeff Gennette, Chairman and CEO of Macy’s, Inc. & Geoff Welch, Retired Graphics Producer
  • Matthew Broderick, Tony-winning actor and Emmy nominee
  • Michael Kay, YES Network’s New York Yankees play-by-play man, host of YES’ CenterStage interview show, co-host of The Michael Kay Show on ESPN Radio 98.7 FM New York and YES, and co-host with Alex Rodriguez of KayRod Sunday Night Baseball on ESPN
