Generational’s Mito Pereira Set to Compete in 2023 Masters

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Generational Group, a leading full-service business advisory for middle-market privately held businesses, is pleased to announce that Mito Pereira, a Generational-sponsored professional golfer, will be competing in this year’s Masters Tournament.

The 2023 Masters Tournament will be the 87th edition and the first of the men's four major golf championships held in 2023. It is scheduled to be played this week at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.

Mito Pereira earned his spot in the field with stellar performances throughout the 2022 season, and particularly at last year’s PGA Championship at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Mito earned the respect of golf fans following his successful rookie campaign on the PGA Tour. He was featured in Episode 7 of the Netflix series, “Full Swing.” The episode, entitled "Golf is Hard,” followed the storylines of Pereira and fellow rookie Sahith Theegala—with a particular focus on Pereira’s thrilling run at the PGA Championship. Pereira entered the final round with a three-shot lead over Will Zalatoris and Matt Fitzpatrick, at 9-under-par. Justin Thomas ultimately defeated Zalatoris in a playoff, but Pereira’s third place tie qualified him for a spot in this year’s Masters.

President and CEO of Generational, Ryan Binkley stated, “It is truly an honor to compete in the Masters with the world’s best golfers, and Mito has earned the opportunity with his outstanding play in 2022, especially at the PGA Championship.”

Binkley added, “We look forward to an exciting Masters this year and are anticipating that Mito will be in contention with another strong performance. We are expecting a thrilling week of golf from Mito and the entire Generational family will be cheering him on.”
