Postman Earns Top Spot in G2’s Inaugural Spring 2023 Grid® Report for API Platforms

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Postman, the world’s leading API Platform, today announced it has earned the top spot in G2’s Spring 2023 Grid® Report for API Platforms, ranking first in satisfaction, market presence, number of reviews, and total G2 score. This ranking underscores Postman's reputation as the #1 place where developers come to work with APIs, with over 25 million users.

“APIs are the building blocks of modern software development. While individual users need a simple way to produce, consume, and collaborate on APIs, enterprises require a comprehensive suite of features,” said Abhinav Asthana, co-founder and CEO of Postman. “A true API Platform achieves both, managing the entire API lifecycle from design to production and beyond, while also bringing API consumers into the fold. G2’s adoption of a new report focused solely on API Platforms shows the broader market is adapting to this evolution, and we’re pleased to see Postman rank first.”

More than 80 million people annually—including employees at all Fortune 500 companies—use G2 to make informed software decisions based on user reviews. Grid Reports are released quarterly and compare vendors on metrics including customer satisfaction and market presence.

The Grid Report for API Platforms inaugurates a new category from G2, which defines API Platforms as “consist[ing] of software tools and integrations that allow development teams to manage the complete API lifecycle. These solutions provide all of the necessary functionality for API Design, as well as the functionality for API management and governance.”

As an API Platform, Postman continues to differentiate itself from traditional API management providers. Postman delivers high productivity for teams, great quality APIs for developers, and airtight governance for organizations around the globe. And recently, the company announced the general availability of Postman Flows, a low-code visual tool for creating API applications.

In addition to ranking first in API Platforms, Postman was again named one of the top API Design and API Management solutions in the Spring 2023 Grid Reports. Read more about what individual users have to say on G2’s Postman review page.
