Continental Recognized on Forbes Best Employers List

  • This marks the company’s seventh time named to the prestigious list
  • Continental’s inclusion on the list places it alongside the top U.S. organizations
  • America’s Best Large Employers is a benchmark that ranks companies on employee experience, including work atmosphere and career growth

AUBURN HILLS, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Technology company and leading automotive supplier Continental has been named, once again, as one of America’s Best Large Employers for 2023 by Forbes magazine. This is the seventh time Continental has been named to this esteemed list for its efforts in supporting the employee experience.

“To be recognized again among America’s best large employers reinforces our dedication to employees through career development opportunities, commitment to inclusion, and a flexible work-life balance,” said Grace Hu, U.S, Head of Human Relations, Continental. “Emphasis on an employee-centric culture has never been more paramount to business success. At Continental, we are proud of the workplace culture we have fostered and the talented teams that have flourished as a result.”

Continental continues to drive an employee-centric culture through its many programs and initiatives, such as its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) activities. DE&I at Continental is anchored by three tenants: creating an inclusive culture; ensuring a diverse workforce; and investing in communities. These endeavors are made possible through employee resource groups (ERG) that regularly hold company-wide learning and volunteer opportunities.

Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to compile this year’s list by surveying approximately 45,000 U.S.-based employees working for companies with more than 1,000 workers. Participants were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family, and to nominate organizations other than their own. The final list ranks the 500 large employers that received the most recommendations.

“According to a global employee survey, more than 80% of employees stated they are proud to work for Continental,” said Hu. “Our culture fosters individual talent, values constructive feedback and believes in lifelong learning. We strive to create an environment in which our employees can grow and thrive while striking a healthy balance between their jobs and other aspects of their lives.”

As a result, Continental continues to be recognized nationally as an employer of choice. Continental was named as a 2021-2022 Certified Great Place to Work®. In 2020, Fortune magazine named the company one of the 18 Best Big Companies to Work For – and the only manufacturing company to make the prestigious list. The company has also been named a 2020 Fairygodboss Best Company for Women, one of America’s Best Employers for Diversity by Forbes (2019) and among Fortune’s Most Admired Companies multiple times. These recognitions reinforce Continental’s inclusive company culture worldwide.
