Sysdig Grows New Customers by 120%, Appoints New Chief Marketing Officer

Bryce Hein joins as CMO to lead next stage of growth as company extends its leadership in cloud security

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sysdig Inc., the unified cloud and container security leader, today announced the appointment of Bryce Hein to the position of Sysdig chief marketing officer (CMO) after the company experienced more than 120% in new customer growth last year. Bryce, who has deep expertise spearheading category creation and transforming brands, joins Sysdig as the company builds on a monumental year and prepares for its next stage of growth.

Looking back at 2022, Sysdig more than doubled new customer acquisitions year over year, driven by the continued adoption of its cloud and container security platform. The company also expanded its global footprint, now serving customers in more than 40 countries. Demonstrating the breadth and strength of its platform at an enterprise scale, Sysdig’s top 60 customers spend on average more than $1 million in annual recurring revenue with Sysdig. In addition, open source Falco, the cloud-native threat detection project created by Sysdig, has surpassed 50 million downloads.

Sysdig analyzes more than 7 million containers daily for hundreds of thousands of applications. Late last year, the company was named to Deloitte's Fast 500 list, and was recognized as a leader in innovation and growth by Frost & Sullivan in the analyst firm’s Global CNAPP Radar Report. Frost & Sullivan also named Sysdig the 2022 Container Company of the Year.

“Companies across the globe are adopting containers, Kubernetes, and serverless technology to build new applications and revenue streams. This requires a new approach to cybersecurity, one that can adapt to the speed, scale, and complexity of the cloud,” said Bryce Hein, CMO of Sysdig. “By focusing on real-time threat detection and applying runtime insights to strengthen defenses, Sysdig is in a unique position to help companies stop breaches and secure innovation in the cloud.”

“Bryce is a talented leader with a proven track record of taking technology companies to the next level,” said Suresh Vasudevan, chief executive officer of Sysdig. “With his extensive marketing experience, customer-centric approach, and ability to inspire teams, we’re confident that he will propel Sysdig to the next level as we build toward cementing ourselves as the leader in cloud security.”

“Cloud and containers have fundamentally changed the way software is developed, but many struggle to adapt their security to the speed of cloud-based development. By tackling runtime, Sysdig solved the hard problem first. Using their runtime strength, the team has been able to build an industry-leading platform to consolidate cloud security,” said Ping Li, partner at Accel and Sysdig board member. “I am excited for Bryce to make his mark as the company continues to rapidly scale and build on its impressive growth.”
