University of Phoenix Director of Veterans Affairs Operations Elected to National Association of Veterans’ Program Administrators Board of Directors

Andrea Siegrist-Baez will serve a one-year term representing and supporting region members

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--University of Phoenix is pleased to announce the election of Andrea Siegrist-Baez, director of Veterans Affairs Operations, to the National Association of Veterans’ Program Administrators (NAVPA) Board of Directors as Treasurer and Region VII Delegate.

In the NAVPA Board of Director role, Siegrist-Baez will serve as Membership Co-Chair and represent and support the institutions and members from Region VII, serving AZ, NM, OK, TX, and UT. Siegrist-Baez was previously elected to the NAVPA Board of Delegates by other voting members of Region VII, and served as the Membership Committee Chair and Treasurer.

In her current role at the University located within the Registrar’s Office, Siegrist-Baez leads the Veterans Affairs Operations team in supporting veteran students, reviewing their schedule, courses, and enrollment, and submitting enrollment certifications to the Department of Veteran Affairs.

The NAVPA Board of Directors works with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, Department of Education, and Department of Defense, to promote the improvement and development of all educational opportunities to active duty personnel, veterans, and their dependents.

Siegrist-Baez holds a bachelor's degree in Outdoor Studies from Alaska Pacific University, an undergraduate Project Management certificate, an MBA in Human Resource Management, and a MAED in Adult Education and Distance Learning from the University of Phoenix. Outside of work, she is a volunteer leader for the Sierra Club. Siegrist-Baez has been an employee of the University for 21 years.
