Baron & Budd Attorney Recognized with National Civil Justice Award

Anna Rol among four honored with inaugural Compassionate Counsel distinction

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Baron & Budd, P.C.’s Anna Rol has been named to the 2023 class of Compassionate Counsel honorees. In its inaugural year, this distinction is awarded annually by The Milestone Charitable Foundation to a select group of lawyers across the country who are innovative in their pursuit of justice.

Compassionate Counsel recipients are selected by The Milestone Foundation’s board for their unwavering commitment to the tenets of the Seventh Amendment and belief in the fundamental right to justice. These lawyers work tirelessly to help victims of civil injustices receive their rightful compensation and avoid additional harm or trauma throughout the course of their lawsuit. They see their clients as worthy of respect, see access to fair funding and financial support as a right and look out for their clients’ well-being well beyond settlement.

“When speaking with Anna, her care for her clients and staff is brilliantly apparent,” said Erin Waas, executive director of The Milestone Foundation. “She emphasizes the human aspect of her work in all that she does, and that is exactly what Compassionate Counsel signifies.”

Anna Rol is dedicated to holding pharmaceutical corporations accountable for putting dangerous drugs and devices on the market. She works hard to represent those individuals who have suffered at the hands of pharmaceutical products and gives a powerful voice to medical consumers. Since joining Baron & Budd, Ms. Rol has worked on a variety of pharmaceutical cases, including Transvaginal Mesh, Fluoroquinolone Antibiotics, Xarelto, IVC Filter, Essure, and Talcum litigation.

“I am very honored to be recognized by The Milestone Charitable Foundation,” said Rol. “The work I do every day fighting for individuals harmed by pharmaceutical companies is inherently rewarding, and this recognition reinforces my commitment to seeking justice for those who are injured by pharmaceutical products.”

In addition to Ms. Rol, the 2023 class of Compassionate Counsel honorees includes Ben Whitley of Whitley Law Firm, Kim Dougherty of Justice Law Collaborative, LLC and Ellen Relkin of Weitz & Luxenberg, P.C.

Awardees will be honored at a ceremony January 22, 2023, in Miami. For more information about The Milestone Foundation’s Compassionate Counsel awards, visit https://themilestonefoundation.org/compassionate-counsel/.
