Two Weeks Until BDA’s Fourth Annual Bermuda Tech Summit Kick’s Off

HAMILTON, Bermuda--()--The Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA) will launch its fourth annual Bermuda Tech Summit in-person two weeks today, 26 October.

The Bermuda Tech Summit is presented by the BDA, in partnership with government’s Economic Development Department (EDD) and FinTech industry association, NEXT Bermuda.

BDA CEO David Hart said, “We are so excited about our Bermuda Tech Summit being just a fortnight away and while tickets are selling fast, some spaces are still available. We are pleased to report, in furtherance of the BDA’s critical mission to promote sustainable and equitable economic growth, diversity and prosperity in Bermuda, the BDA has provided four complimentary passes to Bermuda College students. We hope that attending this important in-person event will serve as a springboard to rewarding and fulfilling careers in Bermuda for these young tech enthusiasts.”

The BDA is also delighted to announce that Appleby is a platinum level sponsor, alongside SailGP.

Jerome Wilson, Appleby partner and head of Appleby’s Technology and Innovation practice in Bermuda, said: “It is a real pleasure to continue our support of the Bermuda Tech Summit. There is no question that Bermuda’s position as a leading global hub for blockchain and fintech is solidifying - a testament to the island’s robust regulation under DABA (Digital Assets Business Act), which supports the stages of developing, testing and launching products, and to Bermuda’s business ecosystem as a whole. The Bermuda Tech Summit is an increasingly important event for the island as we look to keep pace in this rapidly evolving sector. I look forward to participating and hearing the views of speakers and delegates around innovation, and how we here in Bermuda can be involved with moving this space forward.”

The BDA thanks all its sponsors including: Hub Culture, RELM, Appleby, SailGP, Carey Olsen, Jewel, Walkers; as well as Apex, Blockchain Triangle, Bittrex Global, Clarien, Chainproof, Coinzoom and 24 Exchange. Without their generous support, we could not put on this event at the Hamilton Princess Hotel and Beach Club from October 26-28.
