Envoy Welcomes Former Google and Box Leaders Ramki Venkatachalam and Jon Fan to Scale Engineering and Product

Envoy invests in the future by bringing on executives with expertise in scaling enterprise tech

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Envoy, the fastest-evolving workplace platform, welcomes Ramki Venkatachalam as Chief Technology Officer and Jon Fan as Chief Product Officer to its leadership team. Both are experts at building and scaling reliable, user-focused technology for complex enterprises.

Ramki and Jon join the company at a pivotal time as return-to-office policies become more common and Envoy continues to invest heavily in the future of the workplace. Earlier this year, Envoy secured $111 million in Series C funding led by Brookfield Growth. Recently, Envoy acquired two workplace tech companies, OfficeTogether and Worksphere, to further accelerate its product development. And the company is breaking ground in the commercial real estate market with a new property-management product, Envoy Connect.

“As Envoy grows, we need talented leaders who have seen what great looks like. From the moment I met Ramki and Jon, it was clear that they value creating new and innovative technology–exactly what our industry needs right now,” said Larry Gadea, Founder and CEO of Envoy.

“Given everything that's happened with Covid and the pending recession, companies are looking for ways to bring people together. Jon and Ramki have enterprise experience with fast-paced brands that sweat the details,” added Larry. “They can develop thoughtfully designed products at scale and create great experiences. I have no doubt that Jon and Ramki will help us continue to scale and to dominate and win in this fast-changing market."

Ramki spent years leading engineering organizations at Pinterest, Google, and PayPal. Most recently at Zenefits, he built the growth team, which created a new multi-million dollar line of business for the company.

Ramki’s talent is building resilient systems that allow for fast iteration. His priority is to expand and scale Envoy’s platform to meet an increased demand from companies of all sizes around the world. He is also responsible for the growth and well-being of Envoy’s technology teams: product and platform engineering, architecture, infrastructure, developer platform, cybersecurity, and technology operations.

A former Box and Benchling product executive, Jon has built enterprise products for years. At Box, he led the expansion of their product line into new capabilities for enterprise collaboration, workflow, and security and compliance. At Envoy, Jon is overseeing product strategy, product design, and research & development efforts. He is also taking point on executing the vision for Envoy’s workplace platform, helping third-party developers and vendors create apps that power the workplace on Envoy.
