Incfile Announces Summer Entrepreneur Grant Program Winners

Deadline for Winter Applications is December 31, 2022

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Incfile, a leader in online business formation and startup services, today announced the winners of its Summer Entrepreneur Grant & Scholarship Program. Incfile has two grants, the Young Entrepreneur Scholarship Grant and the Fresh Start Business Grant; both aim to help foster entrepreneurial spirit, providing one-on-one business consultation and funding to help turn big ideas into reality. To apply for Infile’s Entrepreneur Grant Program, please submit your application at incfile.com by 11:59 p.m. PST on December 31, 2022.

"It’s always exciting to announce the winners for our Entrepreneur Grant and Scholarship Program,” said Dustin Ray, Chief Growth Officer & Co-CEO, Incfile. “Seeing the creativity, enthusiasm and work ethic of Kerrington and Monet is very impressive. We hope that these grants, together with Incfile's start-up services and community, will give them the support they need to help progress their businesses and meet their entrepreneurial goals.”

YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR SCHOLARSHIP GRANT WINNER:
Kerrington, high school student, F.Y.T.S
The Young Entrepreneur grant winner was awarded to Kerrington Pinckney. F.Y.T.S (pronounced "fits") by KP is an apparel business that makes custom clothing for community members. In the beginning, Kerrington envisioned a career in retail, but soon realized it wasn't for her. The example of her aunt’s leadership and grit (she’s also an entrepreneur) inspired Kerrington and helped her believe she could achieve her dreams of entrepreneurship. Her goal is to continue growing her brand as she makes the transition from her teenage years to becoming a young adult.

FRESH START BUSINESS GRANT WINNER:
Monet Dyson, Dipped in Color
Monet Dyson is the winner of our Fresh Start Business Grant. Monet Dyson became a stay-at-home mom after a drunk driver struck her vehicle. She discovered herself balancing motherhood, full-time work, and starting a business. Dipped in Color, Monet's tie-dying business, initially began as an outlet for her anxiety. However, it meant spending more time away from her son, and she began to feel guilty. By painting together, she found a new way to relieve this feeling. This revelation gave rise to her business's gradual shift from apparel to paint parties. By being receptive to constructive criticism and feedback, she is committed to constantly developing both herself and her business. Her primary goal is to plan for future success by forming an LLC and developing a business plan that is tailored to her product and market.
