Genworth Mourns the Death of Former Board Member William Bolinder

RICHMOND, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Genworth Financial, Inc. (NYSE: GNW) is mourning the death of its former board member, William H. Bolinder, who passed away on September 29, 2022, after a long illness. He served as a member of Genworth’s Board of Directors from 2010 to 2019, including as Chair of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee from 2013 to 2019.

Bolinder retired as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Acadia Trust N.A in 2006, positions he had held since 2003. Prior to Acadia Trust, he served as a member of the Group Management Board for Zurich Financial Services Group from 1994 to 2002. Mr. Bolinder joined Zurich American Insurance Company, USA in 1986 as Chief Operating Officer and became Chief Executive Officer in 1987.
