Black & Veatch CIO Named the 2022 Kansas City Global CIO of the Year by the ORBIE Awards

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Black & Veatch, a leading global provider of critical human infrastructure solutions, today announced that CIO Irvin Bishop Jr. was named the 2022 Kansas City Global CIO of the Year® by the ORBIE® Awards. For over 20 years, the CIO ORBIE Awards have recognized technology executives for leadership, innovation and excellence in this rapidly growing, CIO-led national professional association.

Bishop is a global leader in data optimization, digital transformation, automation and marketing. He recently guided the development of a roadmap for Black & Veatch’s digital strategy that optimizes the deployment and execution of its full portfolio of energy, telecommunications and water infrastructure solutions for clients around the world. The company’s strategy calls for growth across each of Black & Veatch’s global market sectors, and it focuses on innovative technologies to strengthen organizational effectiveness and operations.

The Kansas City CIO ORBIE® Awards honors chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership. Finalists and winners are selected through a rigorous, independent judging process led by prior ORBIE winners, and winners were announced at an awards ceremony on September 16.
