Registration Open for 20th Annual BIANJ Walk/Run/Roll for Brain Injury Awareness

BRADLEY BEACH, N.J. & PARAMUS, N.J. & MOUNT LAUREL, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey (BIANJ), a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals impacted by brain injury, will host its Annual 5K Run/Walk/Roll for Brain Injury Awareness on Saturday, October 8, 2022. This year will celebrate 20 years of BIANJ’s Run/Walk/Roll. More than 1,000 participants are expected to walk, run, and roll individually or in teams to raise brain injury awareness.

“Brain injury is more common than you might think,” said Wendy Berk, BIANJ’s Vice President. “Approximately 15,000 New Jersey residents sustain a brain injury each year, and about 175,000 individuals in the state are living with disabilities from a brain injury right now. This event supports people living with brain injury and offers an opportunity for socialization and recreation.”

The event is held in three locations:

• 5th Avenue Pavilion, Bradley Beach Boardwalk, Bradley Beach (5K run and walk)
• Saddle River County Park, 221 Paramus Rd., Paramus (walk)
• Laurel Acres Park, 1045 S. Church St., Mt. Laurel (walk)
