Ingenovis Health Establishes Clinician Support Program: ACT (Advocacy. Career. Tools.)

Program Designed to Provide Frontline Healthcare Workers the Support They Need to Keep Them at the Bedside

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo.--()--Today, Ingenovis Health launched the ACT program, designed to offer healthcare workers the essential tools and resources they need to grow, flourish, and advance in their careers. This bold program, built on insights from frontline healthcare workers, is designed to ensure nurses and other healthcare professionals are available to care for patients as the country faces an unparalleled healthcare provider shortage.

In a study of 20,947 U.S. healthcare workers, researchers identified higher stress scores, with almost half of the workers reaching burnout levels. Recent studies reveal that more than 30% of nurses are considering leaving a career in healthcare in the next 12 months, when the country is facing increasing demand.

Also, a large portion of the physician workforce is nearing traditional retirement age. Forty percent of currently active physicians will be 65 or older within the next decade.

“The compounding healthcare provider shortage and the devastating burden of COVID-19 have compelled us to invest resources and tools to better support our healthcare talent,” stated Bart Valdez, Ingenovis Health Chief Executive Officer. “With thousands of nurses, doctors, allied professionals and other specialists in our healthcare assignments nationwide, we are committing to a clinician-first approach to stem the tide of attrition, and we urge our peers to do the same.”

To this end, today, Valdez announced the launch of the Ingenovis ACT program, which stands for Advocacy, Career and Tools, and is a collective of efforts and investments to foster the development and well-being among all healthcare providers in the Ingenovis Health family of brands. The company retained an expert clinical advisor and engaged front-line clinicians to serve as voices of the industry and to offer first-hand insights to shape meaningful program benefits.

Fastaff I.C.U. Nurse Lydia Mobley says, “Having served on the frontline in intensive care units during the pandemic, I experienced firsthand the unprecedented mental and physical stress healthcare workers have faced. With this new program, Ingenovis Health is committing to help healthcare workers, including myself, better manage the stressors that bring about burnout or attrition and lead the way to better working environments. I am so grateful for the enhanced focus on providers' well-being, and I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together.”

The Ingenovis ACT program leverages listening and data collection from frontline workers to better understand retention and attrition factors to prioritize the efforts for the greatest impact. It incorporates tools and resources ranging from mental health support to financial counseling, continuing education and advocating for critical issues impacting the profession. In addition, the company is introducing new and advanced programs in support of clinicians’ career development to help workers gain the training they need to get to the next level.

The program was inspired by an appreciation for and commitment to the frontline workers of Ingenovis Health and the industry overall.
